Sorry I haven’t posted in such a looong time!! Pretty overwhelming stuff going on at work, but I’m getting used to it.
So before I ended up watching parts of the Oscars yesterday and seeing all of the awesome fashions, I was watching the E! Red Carpet special with Ryan Seacrest and Giuliana Rancic. Besides the funny and awkward moment he had with The Dictator, during commercial break this spot came out from Bing. I used it a couple of times and I like it, especially with the images they place in the background. Anyway, this commercial put the spotlight on Aurora Guerrero, an upcoming filmmaker who talked about how the process of making her first film. What I liked about it was that she made the film in Huntington Park and how her community came together to be a part of it. Also, what surprised me was that she was asked to show the movie, Mosquita y Mari, at this past month’s Sundance Film Festival. What an amazing opportunity for her, since that is considered one of the major festivals ever in the industry. I wonder if her film got a distribution deal, but definitely this commercial will give her a lot of recognition. But I would definitely check this movie out for sure. I love films where they are filmed around communities such as East Los Angeles, Huntington Park, etc. because they have that special something that makes it raw and real that you would relate to.
Meanwhile check out the video and post your feedback. Thanks Bing!
FYI - The film has a Facebook page that you can go to here!
